
INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING
EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS.
The European Solidarity Corps is a programme for young people aged 18-30 , who are looking for an opportunity to learn, grow and support community projects in their own country or abroad.
You can volunteer or carry out local solidarity projects in various areas: education and training, citizenship and democratic participation, environment and natural protection, culture and many others!
How much does it cost?
It's fully funded!

Where?
Most projects take place in Europe , however there are projects in other countries around the world, such as Cape Verde, Timor-Leste, Argentina, Morocco, among others.
Duration
There are short-term and long-term projects. Short-term projects are those that last between two weeks and two months. They generally support cultural, sporting and artistic events, and work camps.
Long-term projects last between two months and one year.
Volunteering Areas
There are projects in almost every area! Environment, health, culture, sport, equality of opportunities, European awareness, inter-religious dialogue, ethnic minorities, civil protection, social services, etc. However, in these areas it's not included interventions that involve high risk, such as post-crisis situations, humanitarian aid or immediate assistance in the event of a disaster.
Volunteer Profile
The volunteer just needs to be responsible, creative, participative, willing to learn and help.
No prior qualifications, a specific level of education, specific experience or more than the basic knowledge needed in terms of the language are required.
To participate you must be a Portuguese citizen and be a resident of Portugal or (if you are not a Portuguese citizen) have a permanent residence visa in the country.
Goals of the European Solidarity Corps
The ESC aims to promote solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among young people, helping to strengthen social cohesion in the European Union and promoting active civic participation among young people.

In addition to contributing to a local community with your time and commitment, by taking part in a ESC you will have the opportunity to develop a series of important skills, such as:
