The Volunteer Spirit and How to Participate

The philosophy at the base of the association draws on the idea of volunteering. It is the unison of everybody's efforts and interests that shap and drive on Rota Jovem, and for this all of the members have an important role to play in the association.

This philosophy is refelcetd in the organisation and implementation of the activities which is undertaken by young volunteers.

All participation is welcome!! It is the force behind the spirit of Rota.

Projects and Tasks

Do you want to organise a project in Rota Jovem? It's easy!!

You can get innvolved in the organisation of activities that are already underway, attaching yourself to the organising team, or you can put forward your own idea! Any active member of Rota Jovem can help to give you some direction in your organisation of an activity. What is essential is to contact the association's management as soon as you have the idea for your project, so that it can be included in the timetable of scheduled activities.

If you lack ispiration, there are bundles of projects for anyone who fancies browsing through them. If you have any ideas to add, bring them on!!

A project is too much... what I'd really like to do is give a helping hand in the day to day tasks...

OK!!! Come on over! In Rota there are a whole bunch of daily tasks in which you could help (from helping with the mail list, organising our database, buying supplies for the centre, maintaining the garden, choosing the music that is being played in the centre, making tea for the gang...)

Meetings

From time to time, the management organises volunteer meetings, where ideas are shared, ongoing projects discussed and new work groups are formed. If you like to know what's going on, what's being planned, and you would like to join one of the groups organising an activity, wait for news of these meeting and then show up!!

Who to Contact?

If you fancy getting involved in the association's activities, or if you just want to suggest some activities, you can go straight to Rota's management team or to the team who work in Rota's International Space. These upstanding 'Rotistas' will be able to give you guidance about the implementation of activities, if you need some.

You already know.... By email, phone, or even better, by coming to the centre in person, you will always find someone!!
